Does your body love it as much as your taste buds?

We all know that McDonald’s French fries are delicious but we don’t all know that they are very unhealthy for us. If you order large french fries, you are getting 500 calories and 220 of them are from fat. The way that they are made also makes them very unhealthy. They are fried, greasy, salty and fatty, all of which are very bad for you body, but taste great.

Not only McDonalds but all other fast foods contain the wrong kind of saturated fats. Saturated fats increase the blood cholesterol which could lead to heart disease. In the same size as large fries from McDonalds, Ore-ida frozen French fries have only 219 calories. So there is still a way to have healthy French fries. They also have just .9 grams of saturated fats, compared to McDonalds with 3.5 grams in the same serving size. Even though most French fries out there have extreme amounts of saturated fats, you can always find a healthier solution without changing what you want to eat.

Even if you love McDonald’s French fries as much as I do, you don’t have to give them up. Just eat them from time to time, and compensate for it with what you eat the rest of the day, like for example not eating anymore fat. Remember that when it comes to ordering your french fries that bigger isn’t always better, maybe a medium instead of super sizing it. Snacking on an apple or a peach after you eat French fries will also be pleasing your taste buds.
